A strange incident in Louisville, Kentucky has led to the arrest of a Kentucky man accused of shooting his roommate after an argument erupted over the consumption of the last Hot Pocket in their shared residence.
Kentucky Man Faces One Count of Assault
Kentucky man, Clifton E. Williams, a 64-year-old resident of Louisville, now faces one count of assault in connection with the incident, according to reports from various news outlets, PEOPLE reported.
Authorities from the Metro Louisville Police detailed the sequence of events that unfolded on Sunday, resulting in Williams’ arrest.
As per WLKY, Fox 19, and WPSD, Kentucky Man Williams became agitated upon discovering that his roommate had allegedly eaten the final Hot Pocket. The disagreement escalated, with Kentucky Man Williams reportedly hurling tiles at his roommate in anger.
The victim attempted to leave the premises, but Williams allegedly reentered the residence, retrieved a firearm, and proceeded to shoot the victim in the rear end, according to arrest papers obtained by WLKY.
Seeking assistance, the injured roommate managed to make his way a few blocks away before contacting authorities, as reported by Fox 19.
The victim was subsequently transported to the University of Louisville Hospital, where he received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, according to WPSD.

Kentucky Man Appears in Court
Following his arrest, Kentucky Man Williams appeared in court for arraignment on the assault charge on Monday morning. As stated by Fox 19, he was ordered to have no contact with his roommate and was prohibited from possessing any firearms or weapons pending further legal proceedings.
Kentucky Man Williams is scheduled to appear in court again on May 30.
It remains unclear whether he has entered a plea or retained legal representation to provide comments on his behalf.
