Murder-Suicide In Idaho Leaves Pregnant Woman and Her Toddler Dead Inside Their Home

Authorities responded to what they believe was a murder-suicide incident where a pregnant mother and her toddler were found dead inside their home in Wallace Idaho.

Murder-Suicide in Idaho

A woman and a toddler were found dead by the authorities inside their home in Idaho. According to the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office, authorities believe that the incident was a murder-suicide.

Holly Lindsey, Shoshone County Sheriff said the incident was the first time that is extremely difficult for the family, for their office, and for the community ever since she started her service.

In a Facebook post, Shoshone County Sheriff Holly Lindsey said they responded to a call from a home on 152 King Street, Wednesday at around 8:27 a.m.

When the deputies arrived at the home, they found two dead bodies identified as the 33-year-old woman Elizabeth Lawley and her 2-year-old toddler. Both have gunshot wounds which caused their death.

After conducting a preliminary investigation about the incident, Lindsey said authorities suspect that it was a murder-suicide where Lawley killed her son and then killed herself.

According to news station KTVB-TV, Lawley was also found pregnant when they found her dead body

Murder-Suicide Incident Saddened Authorities

Authorities were saddened by the murder-suicide incident.

Lindsey said in an interview that in her 19 years of service for Shoshone County, she had never witnessed and seen the SCSO so somber and so devastated. They shared a lot of hugs and tears after the murder-suicide incident.

According to PEOPLE, the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office said more information will be released after the medical examiner completes their portion of the investigation.

The Idaho State Police are assisting the sheriff’s office with the investigation to find out the real cause of the incident.

She said, “I can’t stop thinking about how precious life is. Kiss your spouse, hug your children, call your parents and your sibling(s) to check in with them-don’t take any of it for granted…not even for a minute.”

She advised everyone to stay safe and take care of each other.
