Shooting Suspect of Johnny Cash Mural in Arkansas Found Guilty

Tim Sled was found guilty of shooting a Johnny Cash mural in a Kingsland water tower in Arkansas. Reports say the shooting suspect was indeed aiming for Cash because of the location of the bullet entry.

In May 2022, the Johnny Cash mural in the Kingsland water tower in Arkansas was found leaking. Reports say it was shot, but what caught the public’s attention was the location of the bullet entry. This is because the bullet entry to the Johnny Cash mural made it look like it was peeing.

According to Smith, the town of Kingsland in Cleveland County, South Central Arkansas is the home of country music star, Johnny Cash, who had a mural on the small town’s water tower. Eventually, the authorities identified the shooting suspect as Tim Sled, 38, who was believed to be actually aiming for the Johnny Cash mural when he shot his gun.

Shooting Suspect Faced Charges

According to a KATV Staff, on March 28, Sled was found guilty and faced charges of one count of damage of property, impairing operation of a vital public facility, and incapacitating operator and one count of criminal mischief in the first degree.

In addition, the shooting suspect is fined with $5,000 in restitution, another $5,000 for the property damage, and another $5,000 for the criminal mischief. In total, Sled is fined with $15,000 along with court fees. However, the shooting suspect was not able to pay all of his fines and will be officially sentenced on April 11.
