After a JetBlue flight 1256 encountered extreme turbulence as it touched down in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Monday, eight passengers were sent to the hospital.

From Guayaquil, Ecuador, JetBlue flight 1256 was heading to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport when it abruptly encountered turbulence, the airline claimed in a statement.

Despite this, the JetBlue flight 1256 made a safe landing and was waited by medical professionals. 

According to JetBlue, seven passengers and one flight crew member of JetBlue flight 1256 were taken to hospital to undergo evaluation and healthcare.

According to officials, JetBlue will make an effort to support both the customers and crew members of JetBlue flight 1256.

The JetBlue flight 1256 that encountered the turbulence has been taken out of operational use for inspection. 

The National Transportation Safety Board verified on Monday afternoon that an investigation into the incident of  JetBlue flight 1256 had begun. 

According to the National Transportation Safety Board’s tweet an investigation into the severe turbulence incident that occurred aboard JetBlue Flight 1256, an Airbus A320 during a cruise flight near Jamaica on its way from Guayaquil, Ecuador to Fort Lauderdale, Florida has been opened. 

JetBlue had not given any updates on the condition of the passengers of  JetBlue flight 1256 as of Monday afternoon .
