Phoenix, AZ – A Freeze Watch has been issued for Thursday and Friday mornings in parts of Arizona, including Globe, San Carlos, and Wickenburg. The National Weather Service warns temperatures could dip into the upper 20s to lower 30s.
According to the National Weather Service, the alert also includes most of northwest Pinal County. Residents should prepare for chilly mornings, especially in areas prone to freezing conditions.
Freezing temperatures can damage sensitive plants, posing risks to outdoor vegetation. Residents are urged to cover plants or move them indoors. Pet owners should ensure their animals have adequate shelter. The freeze may also create added challenges for those experiencing homelessness.
The cold snap marks a stark contrast from recent weather. Officials recommend checking weather updates and making necessary preparations before the freeze sets in.
