Denver, CO – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for the Denver metro area and surrounding Front Range communities, with snow expected to significantly impact Tuesday morning travel. Commuters should plan for hazardous road conditions and allow extra time to reach their destinations.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), snowfall will continue through the morning, tapering off by noon. Accumulations between 3 and 5 inches are expected across most areas, with localized totals up to 7 inches in the southern foothills, including Castle Rock and the Palmer Divide. Early risers can expect slick and icy roads on major thoroughfares like I-25 and US-36.

Tuesday night will bring partly cloudy skies and a low around 8 degrees, with light winds. Sunshine returns Wednesday, offering a brief reprieve with highs near 38 degrees, but another chance of snow is expected Thursday as temperatures dip again.

The extended forecast shows temperatures hovering near freezing through the weekend. Friday and Saturday will be mostly sunny, but lows will drop into the single digits overnight.
