Minnesota Weather Update: Snow Returns to Twin Cities Thursday Night

Minneapolis, MN – The Twin Cities will experience a mix of sunshine, seasonal temperatures, and clouds this week before snow showers arrive Thursday night. Residents should prepare for slippery conditions as snow accumulations could impact commutes late Thursday into Friday.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will remain cold, with highs ranging from 18°F on Tuesday to 26°F on Thursday. Overnight lows will dip to 7°F on Tuesday and 20°F by Thursday night. Winds will stay light, averaging 5 to 10 mph through the week.

Tuesday will start partly cloudy with a high of 18°F, gradually clearing in the afternoon. Wednesday will bring sunshine with a slightly warmer high of 23°F. By Thursday, clouds will increase throughout the day ahead of snow chances overnight.

The snow is expected to begin late Thursday night, with accumulation estimates varying based on the track of the system. Commuters on key roadways like I-94 and I-35 should monitor updated forecasts for potential delays Friday morning.
