Cleveland, OH – Residents in northern Ohio should prepare for snow showers and frigid temperatures tonight as winter weather intensifies. Lake-effect snow could bring 1–3 inches of accumulation in the snowbelt, with wind chills dropping into the single digits by morning.
According to the National Weather Service, snow showers will become more focused overnight, primarily affecting areas near Interstate 90 and northwestern Cleveland. Strong winds from the north will make conditions feel even colder, with lows in the teens and gusts up to 20 mph. Commuters should drive cautiously on snow-covered roads, particularly in the snowbelt.
Tuesday will bring a slight chance of morning snow showers, with daytime highs only reaching 27 degrees. Winds will persist, making conditions blustery. By Tuesday night, temperatures will plummet again, with lows near 22 degrees. Wind chills could create hazardous outdoor conditions for those unprepared.
Looking ahead, scattered snow showers will continue into Wednesday, with a potential for 1–3 inches of fresh snow accumulation. Highs will hover around 25 degrees. By Thursday, the region is expected to experience partly sunny skies, but temperatures will remain cold, peaking at just 25 degrees during the day and dropping to a frigid 16 degrees at night.
Residents are encouraged to bundle up, stay updated with local forecasts, and prepare for icy conditions throughout the week. For those traveling, plan for delays and slippery roads, especially in the snowbelt regions.
