Raleigh, NC – A winter weather advisory remains in effect for central and northern North Carolina counties until 11 a.m. Monday as freezing rain creates hazardous travel conditions.
According to the National Weather Service, affected areas include Granville, Halifax, Person, Vance, and Warren counties, as well as Forsyth, Guilford, Alamance, Orange, Durham, Davidson, and Randolph counties. An additional glaze of up to 0.05 inches of ice is expected.
Residents are advised to drive cautiously, especially on bridges and overpasses, and to prepare for possible power outages. For updated road conditions, dial 511.
