Red Lodge, MT — A winter weather advisory is in effect for Red Lodge and the Beartooth Foothills until 5 a.m. Tuesday. Residents should expect 2 to 5 inches of snow and hazardous travel conditions.

The National Weather Service issued the advisory early Monday, warning of slick roads impacting both morning and evening commutes. Snowfall is anticipated to pause briefly Monday afternoon but will resume in the evening, creating icy conditions.

Drivers are advised to slow down and exercise caution while traveling. Pedestrians should watch their steps on icy sidewalks and driveways.

Key locations affected include Nye, Roscoe, McLeod, Fishtail, and Roberts. For updated road conditions, officials recommend calling 511 or visiting the Montana Department of Transportation website.
