South-Central Texas is bracing for winter weather midweek, with a mix of snow and ice expected to impact the region. Forecasters predict up to 1/10th of an inch of ice accumulation in areas including Austin and San Antonio.

The National Weather Service reports that freezing rain is likely beginning Wednesday night into Thursday, with the potential for snow flurries in higher elevations. Residents in the Hill Country and along the I-35 corridor should prepare for slick roads and hazardous driving conditions.
