Denver, CO – Freezing fog and snow are set to impact Colorado commuters Monday morning, with dangerous road conditions likely along I-25 and surrounding areas. Morning temperatures will hover in the teens before reaching a high of 43 degrees later in the day.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), patchy freezing fog is expected early Monday, reducing visibility for drivers and creating slick roadways. Light snow showers could bring minor accumulations, particularly in the high country, where 1-3 inches are forecasted. NWS also warns drivers to exercise caution on bridges and overpasses, where ice often forms first.

By Tuesday, temperatures will drop dramatically, with a high of only 29 degrees and a 70% chance of snow, further complicating travel. Wednesday is expected to bring some relief, with sunny skies and highs in the upper 30s, but another storm system looms late in the week.

Residents are urged to prepare for hazardous driving conditions during morning commutes and keep an emergency kit in their vehicles. Officials recommend checking road conditions through CDOT’s online platforms before heading out.

This week’s forecast suggests a volatile weather pattern with opportunities for both snowfall and mild conditions. Thursday and Friday could bring highs near 40 degrees, followed by another chance of snow next weekend.
