Medford, OR – A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m. Saturday for areas above 3,500 feet in Western Siskiyou County. Residents and travelers should prepare for additional snowfall and challenging road conditions.
According to the National Weather Service, the region could see 2 to 5 inches of snow accumulation this morning, with snow levels gradually rising to 4,500 feet. Southwest winds may also reach gusts of up to 35 mph, further complicating travel. The advisory specifically affects areas including the Marble Mountains and Sawyers Bar Road near Etna Summit.
Motorists are urged to drive cautiously, as slippery roads are likely. For up-to-date road conditions, travelers can call 511 or visit quickmap.dot.ca.gov.
