Amarillo, TX – Dense fog is creating hazardous driving conditions across the Texas Panhandle early Saturday morning. A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 a.m., impacting visibility on I-40 and surrounding roadways. Motorists are advised to reduce speed, use low-beam headlights, and exercise caution.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Amarillo, visibility in some areas is reduced to less than a quarter-mile. Saturday night brings clear skies and cooler temperatures, with lows dipping to 23 degrees and winds gusting up to 20 mph. Sunday promises mostly sunny skies with a high near 43, though wind gusts of up to 35 mph could make outdoor activities breezy.
