TALLAHASSEE, FL – Residents in Tallahassee should prepare for chilly mornings this weekend, with frost likely before sunrise on Saturday and Sunday. Daytime highs will remain sunny but cooler, with temperatures hovering in the high 50s to low 60s.
According to the National Weather Service, frost is expected to form before 9 a.m. both mornings, with overnight lows dipping to around 30°F. Winds will stay calm, offering little relief from the cold. Residents should protect sensitive plants and ensure pets are kept indoors overnight.
The forecast predicts a gradual warming trend through the weekend. Saturday will see a high of 58°F under sunny skies, while Sunday will warm slightly to 65°F. Rain chances return Sunday night, with a 50% chance of showers after midnight. The workweek begins Monday with rain and possible thunderstorms by early afternoon.
Drivers are urged to use caution Monday morning as rain could make roads slick, particularly along key thoroughfares like U.S. Highway 27 and Interstate 10.
Looking ahead, temperatures are expected to plunge again by Tuesday, with highs struggling to reach 48°F. Overnight lows will remain in the low 30s for much of the week. Residents are advised to stay informed of weather changes and follow safety tips for the frosty conditions.
