Denver, CO – Colorado residents should prepare for shifting weather patterns this weekend as fog and snow showers are expected to impact travel and outdoor activities. Fog will develop across the northeastern plains tonight, including along I-76, potentially reducing visibility for evening and early morning drivers.

According to the National Weather Service, the fog will linger into Saturday morning, with mild temperatures persisting through Friday. Highs on Saturday will peak at 47 degrees in Denver before cooler air and snow showers move into the region later in the day.

The Front Range mountains and northern plains are most likely to see snowfall, with light accumulation expected. Travelers on high mountain passes should anticipate gusty winds, blowing snow, and hazardous road conditions, especially above 9,000 feet. A 20% chance of snow extends into Saturday afternoon, increasing to 50% by Saturday night.

Sunday will bring drier conditions with mostly sunny skies and highs around 36 degrees. However, another snow system is expected early next week, with snow showers possible Monday night and Tuesday.

Drivers and outdoor enthusiasts should monitor weather updates and prepare for rapidly changing conditions. Carry emergency supplies if traveling through mountain passes.
