South Bend, IN – Authorities have charged four individuals in connection with the July 28, 2024, Bissell Street shooting that injured four and damaged multiple vehicles. Three suspects remain at large.
According to the South Bend Police Department, over 200 rounds were fired in the shooting, leaving four people hospitalized. An investigation identified Deshon Gates, 21, Jacob Pittman, 24, Termel Reid, 20, and Giovanni Tuggle, 18, as suspects.
St. Joseph County prosecutors charged the suspects on December 31 with multiple felonies, including possession of a machine gun and criminal recklessness. Tuggle is in custody, but Gates, Pittman, and Reid are still at large and considered armed and dangerous.
