Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia Face Freeze Warning Friday Morning

Jacksonville, FL – Residents across northeast Florida and southeast Georgia are under a Freeze Warning early Friday as temperatures are expected to dip as low as 30 degrees.

According to the National Weather Service, the warning is in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday, impacting areas including Suwannee, Baker, Nassau, and Columbia counties in Florida, as well as Coffee, Appling, and Wayne counties in Georgia.

Officials advise taking precautions to protect tender vegetation, outdoor pets, and vulnerable populations such as children and the elderly. Additionally, steps should be taken to insulate water pipes and shield outdoor plants from the cold.
