Louisville, KY – Cooler temperatures and light precipitation are set to dominate the forecast for the first week of 2025. Louisville residents can expect isolated flurries and sprinkles tonight, with lows dipping to 25-30 degrees.

According to the National Weather Service in Louisville, Thursday will bring a mix of sun and clouds, with highs reaching 40-46 degrees. However, a fast-moving system Thursday night could deliver light snow or rain, mainly along and north of I-64. Lows will hover between 27-33 degrees.

On Friday, lingering snow showers are possible in the morning, followed by clearing skies and highs between 34-41 degrees. Looking ahead, a stronger system is expected to sweep through the region Sunday into Monday. This storm may bring significant precipitation, including snow accumulations, though details are still developing.

Officials advise staying updated on the latest forecasts as conditions evolve. With January weather notoriously unpredictable, residents should prepare for rapidly changing conditions and potential impacts on travel.
