Texas Weather Alert: Cool, Dry Thursday with Weekend Rain for Fort Worth Area

Fort Worth, TX – North and Central Texas residents can expect a cool and sunny Thursday before a significant weather change this weekend. Highs Thursday will reach the low 60s, but rain and a strong cold front will bring cooler temperatures by Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, today’s clear skies will give way to lows around 39 degrees by Thursday night. Temperatures on Friday will peak near 59 degrees under partly cloudy skies, setting the stage for weekend instability.

Saturday will remain mostly sunny with a high near 60, but gusty winds up to 20 mph from the southeast will signal the coming front. By Sunday, rain chances increase to 20%, and thunderstorms could develop as temperatures rise to the upper 60s. Wind gusts could reach 30 mph, creating hazardous conditions for outdoor plans.

Drivers are advised to use caution on I-35W and I-20, especially Sunday afternoon when storms are most likely to develop. Strong winds could lead to reduced visibility, particularly in rural areas.

Looking ahead, Monday will bring sunny but colder conditions with highs around 45, dropping to the mid-20s overnight. The rest of next week is expected to stay dry and chilly.
