Hanford, CA – Dense fog and slight rain chances are expected to impact California’s Central Valley this week, creating potential hazards for drivers. Visibility will be particularly reduced during the overnight and early morning hours.

According to the National Weather Service, widespread fog is forecast tonight and Thursday morning, with visibility dropping below one-quarter mile in some areas. Drivers along Highway 99 and other major routes should proceed cautiously, using low-beam headlights and reducing speeds. Rain chances increase slightly by Friday night, though precipitation amounts are expected to remain light.

Thursday’s high will reach near 59 degrees, with patchy fog lingering into the afternoon. Friday will see partly cloudy skies during the day before clouds increase overnight. A 20% chance of rain may develop late Friday night as temperatures drop to 44 degrees.

The first weekend of 2025 will bring partly sunny conditions, with highs near 58 degrees on Saturday and 55 degrees on Sunday. Morning fog could return, especially in low-lying areas, but no significant weather systems are expected beyond Friday’s slight rain chance.

Residents and travelers are advised to stay updated on weather conditions throughout the week. Foggy conditions can change rapidly, and road visibility may worsen without warning. For real-time updates, visit weather.gov or check local traffic reports.
