Boise, ID – Upper Weiser River Area to See 4 Inches of Snow by Thursday Morning

A winter weather advisory is in effect from midnight to noon Wednesday across the Treasure Valley, including Boise, Nampa, and Caldwell. Snowfall of one to two inches is expected, potentially causing slick roads and dangerous driving conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, bridges and overpasses are especially prone to freezing. The hazardous conditions could significantly affect Wednesday morning’s commute, prompting officials to urge caution for those traveling early.

In the Western Magic Valley, including Twin Falls and Jerome, snow accumulation of around two inches is forecast from 5 a.m. Wednesday through 5 a.m. Thursday. Meanwhile, the Upper Weiser River region could see up to four inches of snow from late Tuesday night through noon Wednesday.

Drivers are encouraged to slow down, allow extra travel time, and check road conditions before heading out by dialing 511. Staying informed and prepared is crucial as snow continues to fall.
