Denver, CO – A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Colorado’s mountain regions, with significant snowfall and strong winds expected from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday evening.
The National Weather Service reports 4 to 12 inches of snow, with localized heavier amounts in the Park Range. Wind gusts could reach 45 mph, creating hazardous travel conditions. Affected areas include Rabbit Ears Pass, Rocky Mountain National Park, and the Medicine Bow Range.
According to the advisory, snowfall will intensify Wednesday evening into early Thursday, potentially disrupting commutes. Drivers should expect difficult conditions, especially on mountain passes like Berthoud Pass and Eisenhower Tunnel.
