Spokane, WA – Light snow is expected to return tonight, with most areas in eastern Washington predicted to see around an inch of accumulation. Forecasters warn, however, that some localized areas, including the Palouse region, may experience heavier snow totals.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Spokane, snowfall will begin around 10 p.m. Tuesday and continue into Wednesday afternoon. The Palouse and surrounding higher-elevation areas could receive up to 3 inches of snow. In lower elevations, such as Spokane and Pullman, accumulations are expected to remain below 1 inch.

The NWS advises residents to monitor the forecast and take precautions when traveling. Roads could become slick as snow mixes with freezing temperatures overnight. Drivers should prepare for reduced visibility and carry emergency supplies.

Higher snow amounts are possible in isolated spots, especially near mountain passes. Residents are encouraged to stay informed and check for updated warnings.

Stay safe and plan ahead to navigate the winter weather conditions effectively.
