An 82-year-old Corinna man was killed in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 95 near Pittsfield on Tuesday morning, State Police said.
According to investigators, Ivan Cunningham was driving a 2013 Ford Focus northbound in the southbound lanes of I-95 when he collided head-on with a 2023 Ford F-150 near mile 147. The truck’s driver, Nathaniel Blanchard, 27, of Stetson, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
The crash, reported around 11 a.m., prompted the closure of I-95 southbound at Exit 150 for about two hours while authorities investigated.
