Seattle, WA – A midweek rain system is set to bring wet conditions before transitioning to snow this weekend, creating potential travel disruptions.

According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a high near 44°F. However, rain will develop Thursday afternoon, with a 60% chance of showers. Overnight, the rain will intensify, with an 80% chance of precipitation and temperatures dropping to 40°F.

By Friday, a strong system will bring steady rain with a high of 49°F. As temperatures fall Friday night, the rain could mix with snow, leading into a potentially snowy Saturday. Saturday’s high will reach 42°F, but overnight lows near 33°F may lead to slick roadways.

Sunday will continue the wintry trend with rain and snow likely, followed by a low of 30°F Sunday night. Travelers should monitor forecasts and prepare for changing road conditions.

The Seattle area could see its first significant snow accumulation of the season, depending on overnight temperatures. Residents should drive cautiously and check weather alerts for updates.
