Raleigh, NC – A Winter Storm Watch is set to take effect Friday afternoon across central North Carolina, bringing snow, sleet, and freezing rain. Residents should prepare for hazardous road conditions and potential travel delays through Saturday morning.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), snow is expected to develop after 10 p.m. Friday, transitioning to sleet and freezing rain by early Saturday.
