Binghamton, NY – Residents across Central New York are facing lake-effect snow, gusty winds, and frigid temperatures through the day. Wind gusts of 35-45 mph will create dangerous driving conditions with blowing snow, particularly along major roadways like I-81.

According to the National Weather Service, wind chills could dip as low as -10°F to -12°F in elevated areas near the Poconos, with some of the coldest temperatures in NE Pennsylvania. Drivers are urged to exercise caution, especially during peak afternoon hours when visibility may be reduced.
