Los Angeles, CA – The Sunset Fire has rapidly spread to 10 acres in the Hollywood Hills, prompting mandatory evacuations on Wednesday. Fire officials announced evacuation orders for several neighborhoods to ensure public safety.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), evacuation boundaries include Laurel Canyon Boulevard to the west, Hollywood Boulevard to the south, Cahuenga Boulevard and Highland Avenue to the east, and Mulholland Drive to the north. The Pan Pacific Recreation Center at 7600 Beverly Blvd has been designated as the evacuation center for affected residents.

The fire, first reported early Wednesday, continues to burn in steep terrain with dry conditions fueling its growth. Firefighters are actively working to contain the blaze, while helicopters are assisting with water drops. Winds and unseasonably dry weather have contributed to the fire’s rapid spread.

Updates on containment efforts and road closures will be provided as the situation develops. Residents can find real-time information on the LAFD website and social media platforms.
