As we say goodbye to 2024 and welcome the new year of 2025, there are several new parents in the Kansas City metro area who are also celebrating the arrival of their precious newborns.
Mariel and Anthony, a couple from Lenexa, had an eventful New Year’s Eve as they eagerly awaited the arrival of their first child.
In the early hours of the morning, at 3:56 a.m., their baby girl Londyn made her entrance into the world at Menorah Medical Center. The hospital staff joyfully announced that Londyn weighed a healthy 8 lbs and 8 oz.
Londyn made history as the first newborn welcomed at Menorah Hospital in 2025. This also marked the first baby to be welcomed by HCA Midwest Health in the new year.
“Oh wow, that’s amazing and really special,” the new mother exclaimed with excitement.
The parents expressed their immense gratitude for becoming new parents on the very first day of 2025.
“We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support from our loved ones and deeply appreciative of the care and compassion shown by the labor and delivery nurses and doctors,” expressed Mariel. “The birth of our first child was a truly remarkable experience for both Anthony and me.”
Anthony, the father of his first child, shared the same viewpoint as the mother of their child.
“We are overjoyed to have our precious baby girl join us as we celebrate the start of the new year,” Anthony shared. “New Year’s will forever hold a special meaning in our hearts!”
Hospital leaders expressed their excitement about the opportunity to welcome an increased number of newborns in 2025.
“Delivering hundreds of babies each year, Menorah Medical Center considers each new life as a precious blessing cherished by our families, physicians, and caregivers,” expressed Sean Kamber, the CEO of Menorah Medical Center.
He further added, “We are incredibly grateful that Mariel and Anthony placed their trust in Dr. Natasha Ahmed and our committed team for their care. We extend our heartfelt wishes to them and their daughter, Londyn, for a remarkable year ahead in 2025.”
