A tragic incident occurred at a shooting range in Fort Worth on Monday night. While trying to clear a malfunctioning gun, a man accidentally shot himself in the head, resulting in a fatal outcome.
The police were called to the incident at Shoot Smart, a gun range and training facility, shortly before 9 p.m.
Fort Worth police reported that the man encountered a malfunction with the firearm while on the firing line. In his attempt to remove live ammunition, the gun accidentally discharged, resulting in a head injury.
The man was declared dead at the scene.
The Fort Worth police are currently investigating the incident, while the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office is in the process of determining the official cause of death.
The authorities have not yet released the identity of the man.
