Tupelo Woman Arrested for Felony Shoplifting at Walmart
TUPELO – A 38-year-old Tupelo woman faces felony shoplifting charges after allegedly attempting to steal over $1,000 worth of merchandise from the West Main Walmart.
Authorities responded to the store, located at 2270 West Main Street, on Friday, Dec. 27, after employees detained a woman caught trying to leave with unpaid items. The individual was held by store personnel until police arrived.
Following a preliminary investigation, Sydney R. Wilson, a resident of Carnation Street in Tupelo, was formally charged with felony shoplifting. Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Willie Allen set Wilson’s bond at $5,000.
