Kansas City house fire caused by electrical malfunction displaces 6 adults and 9 pets


A devastating fire broke out on Monday night, engulfing a two-story house in Kansas City, Missouri. This unfortunate incident has left numerous adults and their beloved pets homeless.

The Kansas City Fire Department received a call at approximately 8:30 p.m. on December 30th.

Upon arrival at the residence located in the 400 block of Bales Avenue, fire crews immediately noticed dense smoke emanating from the west side of the two-story home. Ensuring the safety of the occupants was their top priority, the firefighters conducted a thorough search of the premises. Thankfully, they confirmed that all six adults and their nine beloved pets had successfully evacuated prior to their arrival.

The cause of the fire was quickly identified by KCFD as “faulty electrical.”

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as a result of the fire. However, due to the extent of the damage, the affected residents have received assistance from the Red Cross.
