A speeding minivan flipped multiple times along an I-35 on-ramp in Kansas City, leaving its 29-year-old driver with life-threatening injuries, according to reports.
A 29-year-old driver is currently in critical condition after his minivan rolled over several times on an I-35 on-ramp in Kansas City on Christmas Day.
At approximately 4 p.m. on Wednesday, December 25, emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle collision at the intersection of Mission Rd. and northbound I-35, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
When the first responders arrived at the scene, they discovered that Gubino Gervantos, a 29-year-old, was driving his 2009 Chrysler Town & Country at a high speed along the interstate’s on-ramp.
Gervantos was driving at an excessive speed, which made it impossible for him to navigate the curve. As a result, the minivan swerved off the road and ended up in a ditch. The vehicle then flipped several times before finally coming to rest on its top.
Gervantos, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to the University of Kansas Medical Center, according to troopers. No additional details have been provided.
