Three individuals apprehended upon returning to scrap yard

Last week, three individuals were apprehended at a scrap yard after being caught in the act of possessing stolen property.

Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark reported that three individuals, namely Willie Ray Robinson, Chanzcellor Antaun Parkerson, and Shannon Marie Wishork-Robinson, were apprehended on December 17 at approximately 1 p.m.

Robinson, a 44-year-old resident of 399 Norman Road in Newton, was taken into custody by Clark on charges of burglary, false pretense, and possession of stolen property.

According to Clark, Robinson is facing three counts of burglary, three counts of false pretense, and one count of possession of stolen property.

The Sheriff announced that Parkerson, a 24-year-old resident of 94 South Oswald Road, has been arrested and is facing charges of three counts of burglary and one count of possession of stolen property.

Clark reported that Wishork-Robinson, a 35-year-old resident of 674 West Tucker Circle, was apprehended and faced charges of burglary and possession of stolen property.

According to Clark, they were alerted to the case around 11 a.m. on December 14th. The owner of a shop on Road 505 had reported a break-in, stating that the thieves had not only stolen various items from inside but also removed the 12-foot roll-up garage door.

It is worth mentioning that the shop owner resides in Newton County and does not frequently utilize or keep a close eye on the shop.

According to Clark, they were able to trace a four-wheeler that closely resembled the one stolen during the burglary to Central Mississippi Recycling, located at 221 Gum Street.

At around 1 p.m. on December 17, while investigators were present at the scrap yard in their efforts to identify a suspect, a white truck carrying three individuals and a truck bed filled with scrap metal arrived at the scene. Wishork-Robinson was behind the wheel of the truck.

The employees at the scrap yard swiftly recognized the truck as the one responsible for bringing the four-wheeler. Deputies identified Willie Robinson as a passenger in the vehicle and determined that he was the individual who had dropped off the four-wheeler.

According to Clark, after the investigators arrested Robinson, they requested the other two individuals in the truck to accompany them to the county jail for additional questioning. This ultimately resulted in the arrests of Parkerson and Wishork-Robinson.

According to Clark, the investigators found out that Wishork-Robinson and Parkerson had visited the property on two separate occasions before the burglary was reported. Clark mentioned that the three individuals were caught by the investigators at Central Mississippi Recycling while they were leaving the property with a load of scrap.

According to Clark, they have successfully retrieved several of the items that were reported stolen, including the four-wheeler.

According to Clark, someone stole a small boat from the property, but luckily, they were able to recover a saddle at a pawn shop in Meridian.

Clark mentioned that they have not yet found other stolen items, such as an air compressor.
