A 23-year-old man is in custody as of Tuesday night, ending a two-year search following his involvement in a fatal hit-and-run. Kalani Hodges is accused of causing the death of 71-year-old Nena Johnson in 2022 while she was driving along Coors Boulevard.
Authorities say Hodges fled the scene of the crash, but investigators later identified him as the driver responsible. At the time of the incident, Hodges had recently been released from prison, where he served time for his involvement in a 2018 fatal shooting as a juvenile.
