Two Brooklyn Residents Arrested for Armed Robbery in Hicksville
Authorities have arrested a Brooklyn man and woman in connection with a robbery that took place on Monday, July 29, 2024, in Hicksville.
According to the Major Case Squad, Gloria Chamorro, 33, and Luis Lizardo, 45, both residents of Etna Street, approached a 36-year-old man in the Bank of America parking lot on Jerusalem Avenue at approximately 8:57 a.m.
The suspects, along with three accomplices, forcefully took a bag containing $140,000 in cash from the victim. During the escape, one of the suspects brandished a firearm, threatening the victim and two others who attempted to intervene.
Following a comprehensive investigation, Chamorro and Lizardo were apprehended without incident.
Both suspects face charges of first-degree robbery, second-degree robbery, and second-degree menacing. They are scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at First District Court in Hempstead.
The investigation remains ongoing.
