New York State Police reported a multi-vehicle crash in Montgomery that occurred on Tuesday, Dec. 17, around 8 a.m. Investigators determined that Judith Lorveus-Fequiere, 46, of Monroe, was driving westbound when she inexplicably stopped in the passing lane.
The sudden stop caused a chain reaction. A second vehicle behind Lorveus-Fequiere managed to stop but was rear-ended by a third vehicle, which was then pushed into Lorveus-Fequiere’s car. Subsequently, a fourth vehicle collided with the third, followed by a fifth vehicle hitting the fourth, according to authorities.
Five individuals involved in the crash were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Lorveus-Fequiere received multiple citations for vehicle and traffic violations, police confirmed.
