55-year-old man dies after falling from building near Staten Island Ferry terminal

According to the FDNY spokesman, the incident was reported at 8:59 a.m. near Stuyvesant Place and Schuyler Street. The Staten Island Ferry terminal is just blocks away from the location.

According to an insider familiar with the investigation, the man’s injuries suggest that he fell from a considerable height, possibly from the roof of a six-story residential building located on the 100 block of Stuyvesant Place.

Caution tape was used by the NYPD and the FDNY to block off a section of Schuyler Street between Stuyvesant and Richmond Terrace.

On the morning of Monday, December 16, 2024, authorities in St. George received a report of an individual who had jumped from a high point. The incident was captured by Kyle Lawson of the Staten Island Advance, as shown in the image above.
