Monitoring overnight and Monday’s storms, dry conditions expected tonight

Good morning, Heartland! It’s going to be a dry night for us. However, as we approach the overnight hours, rain will start moving into southeast Missouri, leading to the development of thunderstorms.

In the early morning, expect plenty of thunder and strong southerly winds. This line of storms will gradually move southwards, continuing into the late morning and afternoon. Although the severe weather threat is very low, it’s not completely zero, so there is a possibility of strong winds and small hail.

As we head into the evening, the storms will move south of the region, leaving behind clearer skies. On Monday, expect lows in the low to mid 50s and highs in the mid to low 60s.

Tuesday will remain dry throughout the day, but rain is expected to move in overnight. Showers will continue into Wednesday morning. As the week progresses, temperatures will gradually drop.

On Wednesday, temperatures will be in the low 50s, followed by the mid-40s on Thursday, and the upper 30s as we approach the weekend. During the weekend, lows will drop to the mid to low 20s.
