Snow Showers Expected Midday Wednesday Across the Parkland

Snow Showers Expected Across Park Hills Wednesday, With Limited Impact

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) – Snow showers are forecasted for Wednesday across the Parkland, but widespread impacts are not anticipated. Residents should remain prepared for potentially brief weather disruptions.

A cold front is expected to move through the area around midday, bringing flurries and isolated snow showers. Similar to spring or summer rain showers, these snow showers will be highly localized.

Key Details:

  • Timing: Snow showers are anticipated from midday into the afternoon, with the heaviest bursts expected later in the day.
  • Accumulation: Most areas will see little to no snow accumulation. However, some localized bursts may result in up to half an inch of snow, primarily on grassy and elevated surfaces. Road surfaces are expected to stay too warm for significant accumulation.
  • Impacts: Brief visibility reductions and gusty winds during heavier snow bursts are the primary concerns. Any snow accumulation is expected to melt by late afternoon.

Weather models suggest the showers will begin early Wednesday, moving through central Missouri and reaching the St. Louis Metro area by noon. The snow is expected to dissipate by mid-afternoon.

Stay tuned for updates as conditions develop.
