A 65-year-old man died following a collision between a motorcycle and another vehicle on Sunday afternoon, November 24, Socorro Police confirmed in an update released Monday night.
The victim, identified as Jose Guillermo Gamero, was riding the motorcycle at the time of the crash, authorities said.
Details of the Incident
The crash occurred around 1:45 p.m. near the intersection of Socorro Road and Lisa Diane. According to Socorro Police, the other vehicle involved—a car driven by a 52-year-old woman—had been stopped and facing south on Lisa Diane Road.
Police stated that the driver attempted to turn east onto Socorro Road when the vehicle collided with Gamero’s motorcycle. No injuries were reported among the occupants of the vehicle.
Investigation Underway
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities are working to determine the circumstances leading to the collision.
