A New Mexico man, Juan Nunez, who was allegedly found in March with drug paraphernalia in his truck and a deceased individual nearby, has been taken back into custody.
Nunez reportedly violated his parole in September and subsequently fled. During a hearing that month, he was required to complete a drug test as a condition of his release. According to court documents, Nunez attempted to tamper with the results by using a yellow liquid instead of his own urine. Officers discovered the attempt and directed him to wait in the lobby while they consulted with a judge regarding his actions. However, officials reported that Nunez fled the facility shortly afterward.
He was later apprehended on Thursday in Torrance County.
