Officers rescue injured child from home after murder-suicide incident

Tragedy struck in west Phoenix as a murder-suicide claimed the lives of a man and woman, leaving their 3-year-old son in critical condition.

Off camera, neighbors have mentioned that they had previously heard arguments coming from the Corona’s townhome. However, they never anticipated that such heated disputes would escalate into a violent incident behind closed doors.

According to Phoenix Police, they are still investigating Andrew Corona’s motive. A neighbor’s security camera system captured footage of Andrew making several trips to and from his home before 10 a.m. on Sunday. Just moments before 10:15 a.m., the camera captured Andrew and Ashlee walking by wearing football jerseys.

Less than 12 hours later, the camera captures three loud gunshots, followed by a ten-second pause, and then another single gunshot. Phoenix Police quickly respond to the scene, arriving with flashlights and guns drawn as they meticulously search the area.

On Monday, Ashlee Corona’s family members came and placed a candle at the foot of the front door. With tears in her eyes, a family member lit the candle.
