Chinese Government Directs Agencies to Prioritize Domestic Tech for Government Systems

According to to the report of V.A, China is making a plan to use less American tech. They want to stop using microprocessors from Intel and AMD in their government computers. They also want to stop using Microsoft Windows and foreign made database software. Instead, they want to use technology made in China. The government is telling agencies to buy processors and systems that are safe and reliable. They even made lists of approved Chinese products.

China U.S. Semiconductor Tensions Reshape Global Tech Landscape

But its happening while China and the U.S. are not getting along about semiconductor parts. The U.S. also wants to make more of these parts at home and rely less on other countries like China and Taiwan. Both countries want to be self sufficient in technology. This could change how things are made and who they are made by. This change does not just affect money and technology. It could make the relationship between countries even worse. People worry it could break up how technology works around the world. As China gets better at making its own semiconductors it could change how trade and new ideas happen everywhere. This affects not just companies and people buying technology but also the leaders who make rules for countries.
