A Carson 7-Eleven was unexpectedly entered by a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy early Saturday morning. Little did he realize, a normal drink run would become a heroic crime-stopping deed. The incident occurred at 12:30 a.m. at the Avalon Boulevard and Victoria Street 7-Eleven.

Deputy’s Quick Thinking Halts Robbery During Routine Store Visit
The deputy casually entered the store to quench his thirst and saw a heist in progress. Instead of drinking, he quickly pulled out his gun and shouted for help. The deputy was the unwitting witness who stopped the convenience store holdup.
Sheriff’s Sergeant Angel Zuniga described the deputy’s bravery. “As soon as he opened the door, he immediately noticed there were people on the other side in the cashier area that were ransacking that area,” Zuniga said. The deputy’s fast thinking and decisive action caught four robbery suspects.
Due to the ongoing inquiry, the deputy’s identity remains unknown despite the drama. The attempted robbery is being investigated by police.

Sgt. Zuniga noted that finding a crime in progress, especially this one, is rare. “This is unusual. A convenience store robbery is rare, but you can sometimes stroll into a crime in the process “He said. After stopping for a drink at the 7-Eleven, the deputy bravely intervened, showing the unpredictable nature of police enforcement. Authorities are investigating whether this attempted heist is related to other recent local crimes.
