Former UC Davis Student Could be Sentenced To Life Imprisonment Or Death Penalty
NBC News reported that Daniel Wolk the Yolo County Superior Court Judge did not provide bail to Dominguez, because he is a risk to the public’s safety and the defendant’s own flight risk given the seriousness of the apparent crimes. The Yolo County prosecutor also argued that Dominguez’s crimes were of “such a heinous and dangerous nature to people” that he needed to stay in custody. Bail was previously set at $4 million, Judge Wolk said but because of these statements, Wolk decided to deny a bail to him.
Furthermore, if the former UC Davis student will be convicted he might be sentenced to a life prison term without the possibility of parole or the death penalty, according to the district attorney’s office.
Dominguez’s public defender is Deputy Dan Hutchinson and he did not respond to any request for comment.
