Drew Wilkins As The New Coach

The New England Patriots have made changes to their coaching staff
by adding Drew Wilkins. Drew Wilkins is now the coach for the outside linebackers of the team.

With Drew Wilkins coaching the outside linebackers, Donta Hightower will coach for inside linebackers. Drew Wilkins previously worked for the New York Giants but was released at the end of the season.

Drew Wilkins also has experience with the Baltimore Ravens. Additionally, along with the news of Drew Wilkins as a new coach, DeMarcus Covington has been promoted to defensive coordinator.

According to a published article by NBC Sports, Brian Belichick remains as the safeties coach, and Mike Pelligrino stays as the cornerbacks’ coach. Jerry Montgomery has been hired as the coach for the defensive line, completing the defensive coaching staff.

Drew Wilkins will likely work with players like Matthew Judon, while Hightower focuses on the off-ball group. Additionally, he has prior connections with Patriots defenders Lawrence Guy and Matthew Judon, suggesting that his hiring aligns with the team’s plans for the upcoming season.
