U.S. Urges Leadership Change in Haiti Amid Rising Chaos and Gang Violence

According to Daily Best, In Haiti, things are getting really bad and the United States is telling the leader Prime Minister Ariel Henry to step down and let a new leader take over. The capital is in trouble because groups of armed gangs are causing chaos and it might turn into a big fight between the people in the country. The Prime Minister was away and couldn’t come back because his plane was redirected, and now he’s being asked to leave his position. The U.S. says they want him to start a process for a new leader and have elections to bring things back to normal in Haiti.

Barbecue, the leader of one of the major troublemaking gangs is warning that if the Prime Minister stays the situation will get even worse. He used a scary word “genocide,” which means a very bad situation where a lot of people could get hurt. The gangs are causing issues because the Prime Minister said there won’t be elections until next year. They’ve been attacking the capital city and even managed to take over some jails releasing prisoners. The U.S. is concerned and hopes things can settle down in Haiti but it’s a challenging situation with the country dealing with many problems.
