A solemn tribute and wreath-laying ceremony to remember heroes

An upcoming event will honor the brave people who served our country without expecting anything in return. The goal is to keep the purpose of “Remember, Honor, Teach.” The goal of this event is to make sure that the memory of these brave soldiers and women will always be treasured and that their unwavering sacrifice and commitment will always be etched in our minds.

In a very important event, Chris Morse, the respected Deputy Mayor of Yuma, spoke very movingly about how important it is to remember and honor the brave people who have bravely served and died for their country. A somber service was held today to lay eight wreaths in honor of the brave men and women who have served in different areas of the military.

It was also a sad time to remember the 92,129 soldiers who were Prisoners of War (POW) or missing in action (MIA). The family and friends of the troops who died continued the honor after the event was over as a somber way to show respect and remember them. They did something very kind when they put flowers on the gravestones: they made sure that the stories and contributions of these brave people would always be remembered.
